The Revolting Peasants first started as a band comprised of a guitar player, drummer, accordionist and a weird bloke who did party tricks ! Well, that's all we could think of describing him as !

This group enjoyed varied success around Northamptonshire and surrounding counties until the inevitable happened. The group separated to pursue individual interests. However, this was not the last to be heard of them.

Years later, a telephone call was made between two of the oldest running members of the group with the express purpose of reinstating the Revolting Peasant name, even if it wasn't the original group that would be any constituent part of it. The plan was approved and the Revolting Peasants were reborn. Only this time, the members were to be accompanists to an original member.

This original member is the accordionist, whose music now travels under a different name. When he first went solo, he discovered that finding gigs with his new name was a little slow, until people realised that they had seen him before. Back then he was 'Steve the Squeeze', now he is known as 'Dr.Busker, the Last Victorian Pub Pianist'. With a collection of bawdy and self penned comedy songs, he travels the country playing to drunken crowds everywhere.

At present, the Revolting Peasants are; Jackie Jordan, Klingon, Doc Bones, Hamish, Vicar, 'Plukka' Maurice, John 'Norty' Norton, Carol and Marion.

Together, we entertain anywhere we're asked. We've played in Steam Rallies, Clubs, Pubs, Village halls, marquees and even a tent in a field in the middle of nowhere (that was a night to remember). Sometimes we are rewarded by our hosts and have accommodation provided, but usually we either travel home or sleep in our respective vehicles. Donations of a tour bus would be nice! Just joking, I don't think some of our venues are bus friendly !

If you come to see us, please, do talk to us. We like to hear from our adoring fans just how bad we were that night! And if you have any pictures of us that you would like to share, then please email them to us and we shall include them in the gallery, subject to them being vetted (just to make sure we don't caught in compromising positions).

Along on our travels, gigs, rallies and overnight stays, we have met many people who have donated time, effort, ideas, bits and pieces which have helped us improve the quality of our shows. Some of these people wish to be known and therefore can be found in our "Friends of Peasants" page. Some have merchandise, some have tat, some have nothing at all to offer, but all have helped us in one way or another. Please help us help them by paying them a quick visit. Who knows, they may have something of use to you too!

In the meantime ! MORE BEER, MORE BEER, MORE BEER !!
